Corporate sockpuppetry for Team Obama?

Did Obama Fund Web-based Smear Campaign Targeting Palin?

Hiding the evidence?

Slime

Evidence from Jawa:

While not conclusive, evidence suggests a link to the Barack Obama campaign. Namely:

* Evidence suggests that a YouTube video with false claims about Palin was uploaded and promoted by members of a professional PR firm.

* The family that runs the PR firm has extensive ties to the Democratic Party, the netroots, and are staunch Obama supporters.

* Evidence suggests that the firm engaged in a concerted effort to distribute the video in such a way that it would appear to have gone viral on its own. Yet this effort took place on company time.

* Evidence suggests that these distribution efforts included actions by at least one employee of the firm who is unconnected with the family running the company.

* The voice-over artist used in this supposedly amateur video is a professional.

* This same voice-over artist has worked extensively with David Axelrod’s firm, which has a history of engaging in phony grassroots efforts, otherwise known as “astroturfing.”

* David Axelrod is Barack Obama’s chief media strategist.

* The same voice-over artist has worked directly for the Barack Obama campaign.

This suggests that false rumors and outright lies about Sarah Palin and John McCain being spread on the internet are being orchestrated by political partisans and are not an organic grassroots phenomenon led by the left wing fringe.

Don and Carol Fowler: Making South Carolina Proud

Apparently, a little jealous of all the national attention her husband Don was getting, South Carolina Democratic Chairman Carol Fowler decided to double-down on Thursday, saying, John McCain had chosen a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

In case you didn’t want to hit the Don Fowler link above, here is the video, in which, he shares to another Dem colleague, how funny Hurricane Gustav was.

Nearly 125 Shot Dead In Chicago Over Summer

Word is that Barack is advocating a complete pullout of Chicago.  A source close to the Obama campaign quoted the Junior Senator from Illinois, saying, “I heard there were some FEMA trailers in Louisiana still. Let’s move them there.”

The National Organization for Liberal Women

Kirstin Powers made an excellent point today in the New York Post. Her argument, which, I admit, is rather obvious, is still very important. It’s also important because of who it comes from — a liberal woman.

She argues that the National Organization for Women has lost most of its credibility because they have, once again, proven that “NOW” is only concerned with the rights of liberal women….Conservatives? Not so much…

And, I Quote:

“On that stage last night, Sarah Palin represented everything the feminist movement claims to strive for: a successful working woman with a happy family life and a husband who helps raise the children. Yet, rather than hailing her accomplishment, the feminist establishment has sat by silently as she’s savaged for being a working mother.”

She’s not done:

“Turns out old feminism is really just a bunch of good ‘ole girls telling you what to think.

Ladies, don’t you worry your pretty little heads about deciding what you believe; the audaciously named National Organization for Women is here to speak on your behalf.

NOW put out a press release saying that Sarah Palin doesn’t speak for women’s rights. That’s NOW’s job.”

Even CNN (Which has been even worse than MSNBC on this issue) is reporting Reid’s comments as sexist:

Rudy to Obama: Next Time, Call John McCain

This was, in the Dude’s opinion, the best line of Rudy Giulliani’s speech–and the speech had a lot of great lines. It was brilliant and McCain should think about using it in some ads in the coming weeks. Something like this:

(Deep male voice over) “Senator Obama, we hate to correct you but history has proven that President John F. Kennedy’s meeting with Nikita Khrushchev in 1960 was a terrible mistake. It led to the building of the Berlin Wall and it may have even sparked the Cuban Missile Crisis. Senator, when you are confused about your history, don’t sweat it, but next time, call John McCain”.

can you believe this guy.

No Barack, wrong again, Iran is actually a pretty big country with a rather large population. I definitely wouldn't call the threat tiny.
