Hey McCain, Why Don’t You Say Something Like This:

Worst Person in the World? A Prediction…

OK Peeps, a little prediction from the Dude here:  The Worst Person in the World for Oct. 3, 2008, will be the great Rich Lowry. Lowry, of National Review fame, snuck a little dig in on Bathtub Boy in his NRO column today, saying:

Whatever Obama’s professions of his commitment to cross-partisan understanding, he’s never confronted the left of his own party and has always been willing to engage in hardball when it suits his purposes.

Little Keith Olbermanns will surely be burrowed throughout his executive branch, eager to chill the speech of the “worst people in the world.”

Count It!

2004, Edwards v Cheney: Hey, that moderator looks familiar to me. Hmmm?

1976, Dole v Mondale: Huh?

1996, Gore v Kemp: I have a strong distaste for Al Gore. Harry Reid too. And Nancy Pelosi.

Did Obama Fund Web-based Smear Campaign Targeting Palin?

Hiding the evidence?

Evidence from Jawa:

While not conclusive, evidence suggests a link to the Barack Obama campaign. Namely:

* Evidence suggests that a YouTube video with false claims about Palin was uploaded and promoted by members of a professional PR firm.

* The family that runs the PR firm has extensive ties to the Democratic Party, the netroots, and are staunch Obama supporters.

* Evidence suggests that the firm engaged in a concerted effort to distribute the video in such a way that it would appear to have gone viral on its own. Yet this effort took place on company time.

* Evidence suggests that these distribution efforts included actions by at least one employee of the firm who is unconnected with the family running the company.

* The voice-over artist used in this supposedly amateur video is a professional.

* This same voice-over artist has worked extensively with David Axelrod’s firm, which has a history of engaging in phony grassroots efforts, otherwise known as “astroturfing.”

* David Axelrod is Barack Obama’s chief media strategist.

* The same voice-over artist has worked directly for the Barack Obama campaign.

This suggests that false rumors and outright lies about Sarah Palin and John McCain being spread on the internet are being orchestrated by political partisans and are not an organic grassroots phenomenon led by the left wing fringe.

Experience: McCain vs. Biden

Howard Kurtz has an interesting analysis of the McCain economic ad at The Washington Post today. As usual, it was dubious, but there was one thing I found disturbing. It seems Kurtz doesn’t consider 25+ years as a Senator and U.S. Rep. working on the Commerce Committee and other economic committees to be “economic experience”. Well, that’s fine with me. No Problem.

But if that is the case, then how can Kurtz say that Joe Biden has any foreign policy experience? He hasn’t done anything but sit in the Senate for 30+ years.

Here it is:

By Howard Kurtz
“The Ad: Obama has no background in economics. Who advises him? The Post says it’s Franklin Raines, for “advice on mortgage and housing policy.” Shocking. Under Raines, Fannie Mae committed “extensive financial fraud.” Raines made millions. Fannie Mae collapsed. Taxpayers? Stuck with the bill. Barack Obama. Bad advice. Bad instincts. Not ready to lead.

Analysis: This John McCain ad is based on a disputed premise.

There’s no dispute that Obama has no background in economics — but then, neither does McCain, which makes this an odd charge for the Arizona senator to hurl.”

The National Organization for Liberal Women

Kirstin Powers made an excellent point today in the New York Post. Her argument, which, I admit, is rather obvious, is still very important. It’s also important because of who it comes from — a liberal woman.

She argues that the National Organization for Women has lost most of its credibility because they have, once again, proven that “NOW” is only concerned with the rights of liberal women….Conservatives? Not so much…

And, I Quote:

“On that stage last night, Sarah Palin represented everything the feminist movement claims to strive for: a successful working woman with a happy family life and a husband who helps raise the children. Yet, rather than hailing her accomplishment, the feminist establishment has sat by silently as she’s savaged for being a working mother.”

She’s not done:

“Turns out old feminism is really just a bunch of good ‘ole girls telling you what to think.

Ladies, don’t you worry your pretty little heads about deciding what you believe; the audaciously named National Organization for Women is here to speak on your behalf.

NOW put out a press release saying that Sarah Palin doesn’t speak for women’s rights. That’s NOW’s job.”

When you’re right, you’re right…
